Verizon HTC 10 gets November security patch [build 2.41.605.36]

Verizon has started seeding a new firmware update to HTC 10 units on it’s network. The latest OTA update for Verizon HTC 10 arrives as firmware version 2.41.605.36 that installs November security patch along some under the hood improvements and system enhancements. The update is rolling out via OTA as we speak, so if you want to receive the update via OTA, make sure you’re running the most recent software version 2.41.605.30 and your device is in stock un-rooted condition. If you think you are all set to go, head to Settings > About device > System updates and try to check manually.

The Verizon HTC 10’s November patch not only brings updated security patches but also fixes the security laps in the firmware to avoid Virus attack and exposures. The update doesn’t increments the OS which stays on Android Nougat but HTC 10 will get the Oreo update by the beginning of next year. Other HTC devices including HTC U11 Plus and HTC U11 Life have been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo already.
