Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and XZ Premium get 47.1.A.8.49 update with December patch
A new system update has been released for Sony Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact and Xperia XZ Premium. The update brings improvements along latest security patches for the ongoing month of December and fixes for issues in the firmware. The December patch for Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and XZ Premium arrives as build 47.1.A.8.49, which is same for all of these. The update is based on Android 8.0 Oreo, Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 compact born with Android Oreo firmware but the XZ premium got it a few days back.
The December patch 47.1.A.8.49 for Xperia devices not only installs latest security patch but also performs under the hood improvements in overall firmware. If you are owner of one of them, then give a try to capture the OTA manually, go to Settings > About phone > System updates.
