Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge Nougat is expected to release on January 17 in Europe

Samsung is going to release Android Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on January 17th. This is the exact date given by a leak source, earlier we have seen the ending of Galaxy Beta Program by Samsung but still devices bonded with US carriers remained abandoned to taste the Nougat update. However European variant of Galaxy S7 model G930F and S7 Edge G935F were lucky enough to taste the 5 iterations of Nougat beta updates.

Earlier at the Beta Program closing announcement Samsung also announced to release the stock Nougat update for it’s latest flagships in January. So we have seen multiple leaks about the exact date of Nougat release, well a new emerge a day ago telling that Samsung may release Nougat for European Galaxy S7/S7 Edge models on January 17th this year. The screenshot is also added in the post and it is in the Spanish.

If you have paid attention on the screenshot, it is written ‘Android 7.0 Nougat’ but Samsung already announced to release Android 7.1.1 Nougat for it’s flagships. We can expect the Android 7.1.1 update but just showing the basic label of update as Android 7.0 just like we have seen previously with the Marshmallow label as Android 6.0 for Android 6.0.1. Well if it is Android 7.0 update then Samsung may later release an incremental update that would make it the latest version of Android.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat is already released for multiple Galaxy S7 Edge devices as a soak test and the final update (if the leak is true) is almost a week ahead. If you are the owner one of these Galaxy S7 European variants then the most anticipated firmware release is just a week from now.
