NVIDIA rolls out SHIELD Tablet upgrade 5.3 with KRACK fix
NVIDIA just released another software update for it’s SHIELD Tablet. This time the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet is getting the 5.3 upgrade, which aims to fix some Wi-Fi security issues and most importantly fix for the KRACK Vulnerability. The SHIELD TABLET SOFTWARE UPGRADE 5.3 is based on Android 7.0 Nougat that doesn’t bring OS update but still it’s an important update to install to ensure device’s security, the update also brings improvements in overall firmware to enhance stability. As per change log the update installs security patch for the month of November with Android Security Patch Level November 5, 2017.

- Addresses Wi-Fi vulnerabilities (KRACK and Broadpwn)
- Fixing connectivity issues with Zagg Bluetooth keyboards

Download SHIELD Tablet upgrade 5.3 on your device manually
The SHIELD Tablet upgrade 5.3 should appear on your tablet automatically, or you can perform an extra step to call the update in.
Head to Settings > About device System updates.
If you are already on SHIELD Tablet upgrade 5.2 then your device will get the update anytime soon. We recommend you to charge your device above 60% to enjoy the un-interrupted installation.
