August security patch released for Xperia XA1, XA1 Ultra, and L1.

Sony Mobile is rolling out latest firmware updates for it’s devices including Xperia XA1, XA1 Ultra, and L1. The update arrives as build 40.0.A.6.135 for Xperia XA1, 42.0.A.4.101 for Xperia XA1 Ultra and 43.0.A.5.79 for Xperia L1, these updates install security patch for the month of August along some improvements in the firmware and bug fixes.

The update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat while Sony earlier confirmed that Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra will get Android Oreo update soon. Although these update seems minor but don’t underestimate them because they take care of various vulnerabilities and exposure always ready to attack your device.

If you own one of the above mentioned device then what are you waiting for just, head to settings > About device section > System updates. If you are device is eligible for the update you will be notified for downloading the update via OTA.
