BlackBerry Priv getting April security patch in Canada, Australia and Korea
A new firmware update is being pushed to BlackBerry PRIV devices in Canada, Australia and Korea. The update is also rolling out for BlackBerry PRIV bonded with Verizon, the most heavier update is released for Canada where it weighs around 1.8GB which shows other than security improvements it is also carrying multiple improvements for the firmware. The update for Australia and Asia Pacific arrives as build number AAK689 and global variant receives build AAL202 last week that weighs in about 190MB and brought May security patch.
You need to charge your device to a safe level, say 70% to avoid shutting down during installation process. Since these updates are important for the device security to it is always recommended to keep your device up to date regarding firmware updates.
