Droid Edition Moto Z/Moto Z Force getting March security update from Verizon [NCLS25.86-11-4-6-8]

Verizon released security updates for the month of March to it’s Droid Edition Moto Z and Moto Z Force. The update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat comes as software version NCLS25.86-11-4-6-8, carries March security patch along other minor improvements and bug fixes. Although it seems a minor update but it is always recommended to keep your device updated regarding security updates.

The OTA is now live as we speak, first give a try for the OTA, go to Settings >> About device >> Firmware Updates. Keep your device charged well to avoid shutting down during downloading or installing the update on your device. Below we have posted the manual update method, that includes installing NCLS25.86-11-4-6-8 update via stock recovery.

Process to install NCLS25.86-11-4-6-8 update on Verizon Moto Z/Moto Z Force via recovery

Step 1: Connect your device with PC and move the firmware file on your device
Step 2: Reboot into recovery mode and select apply update from SD card.
Step 3: Choose the firmware file and Select yes.
Step 4: The process is now started and wait for it to complete.
