Update stock Nougat NPKS25.200-12-9 on Moto X Force XT1580/XT1581 (TWRP flahsable)

Motorola Droid Turbo 2/Moto X Force got Android 7.0 Nougat update last year, now most of the users have already updated their devices on latest firmware. This guide is for all those users who own a Moto X Force XT1580/XT1581 and didn’t update their device on Nougat firmware because they have installed custom ROM on it.

So If you have installed a custom ROM on your device but wish to update your device on official Android 7.0 Nougat NPJ25.9 firmware then we have great news for you. Now you can flash the official Nougat NPKS25.200-12-9 update on your device via TWRP recovery. The ROM is pretty lite with most of the bloatware has been removed by the developer. We have installed it on our own Moto X Force and it super fast and working like a charm.

The process is very simple all you need to do is just restore the downloaded firmware via TWRP recovery on your Moto X Force. Make sure you have a TWRP recovery installed on your device. If not follow this guide to install the latest TWRP recovery on your device.

Stock Nougat NPKS25.200-12-9.zip file for Moto X Force. Download

Download NPKS25.200-12-9.zip.md5. Here

Now copy both files to the device internal storage. (You need to flash only the zip file second one is just to match the archive)

Reboot your device into recovery mode. To do so, turn off your device completely, now press Volume down + Power button at the same time. Now navigate through the menu by pressing Volume up or down then highlight recovery and press power to select it.

Once you are in TWRP recovery menu, tap on ‘Install’ and locate the firmware zip file you copied earlier and confirm restore.

Wait for the restore process to complete, once it is completed, wipe cache and delvik and then reboot your device.

First boot may take some time, enjoy the latest official Nougat firmware on your Moto X Force.

Note: If your device is taking longer then 7 to 10 minutes to boot or other stuck at boot logo, follow this guide to resolve the issue.
