Official Lineage OS 14.1 builds are gradually rolling out for several devices, Lineage OS team is first covering those devices that were previously supported by CyanogenMod. For your ease we haven’t change the process to install Lineage OS 14.1 on each device because the Lineage OS 14.1 ROM is installed the same way as any CM ROM. Xiaomi didn’t release the official Nougat update for this device so here official Lineage OS 14.1 is the best way to get the Android 7.1.1 Nougat on your device. The process to flash official Lineage OS 14.1 on Xiaomi Redmi 3/Prime is very easy all you need to do is just follow the below instructions as mentioned in the sequence. Some pre-requisites before you begin:

Your device battery should be in good health (70%) to avoid the shutting down while in flashing process.

Now transfer both file on your device storage.
