AT&T S6 Edge Plus gets KRACK fix G928AUCU4EQK6 update
AT&T is seeding a new system update UCU4EQK6 for AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in the United States. The AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge Plus users in the US are getting the update as build G928AUCU4EQK6, once the update is installed on the device it fixes multiple issues in the firmware. Some of them are fix for Blueborne vulnerability, fix for KRACK Wi-Fi exploit, November security patch and a lot more. The update weighs in around 400MB, which seems slightly bigger then other updates, we expect the update has a lot to do with the stability and under the hood enhancements.

The update is rolling out via (Over-The-Air) and install the November Android security patch with fixes for KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability and under the hood improvements. All the updates are based on Android 7.0 Nougat so it doesn’t increments the OS version, Oreo for latest flagships S8 and S8 plus is already released via beta channel and the stable build will be released by the start of next year. Once S8 and S8 Plus gets stable Oreo update ,the remaining devices will start getting it later.
We have defined two methods for updating your device on latest firmware which includes OTA and Kies update method. The carrier bonded device especially doesn’t shares it’s firmware tar file easily like other carriers do, so we recommend you to get the update via Kies.
