How to flash stock firmware via KIES on Samsung devices

Step 1. The first step is to download and install the Samsung Kies application on your PC.

Download Kies application along latest Samsung USB drivers. Click here

Step 2. If you have installed the application on your PC, click the Kies icon to open it.

Step 3. Now connect your device to PC via USB cable, as soon as your device is detected by Odin it will show the device name on the top left window.

Step 4. It is always necessary to backup the important data before the firmware update process, Click ‘Back and Restore’ tab on Odin screen.

Step 5. It will start the back up process and shows you the progress as well. Wait for the process to complete.

Step 6. Once done with the backup process, it’s time to update the firmware on your Samsung device. Click firmware upgrade, if the update is available for your device you’ll be notified.

Step 7. Tick the agreement and information section and start the update process.

Step 8. It will take some time but let the firmware update process complete and don’t disconnect the device during the process, once it is done your device will reboot automatically.
