Verizon LG V20 Receives A New System Update build VS9951BA

A new system update is rolling out for LG V20 devices bonded with Verizon Carrier in the US. At this point most of the LG V20 users were expecting Android Oreo release for LG V20 but unfortunately it is a common security update. The new update is arriving as build VS9951BA that installs security patch for the month of April 2018, with some under the hood improvements and bug fixes.

Although it is disappointment to see security updates at the moment when users were hoping to see Android Oreo on their device but still we recommend you never take these security as optional. Because these updates are meant to fix some serious security issues in the firmware, thus protecting your device from Malware and Viruses. The April 2018 patch for Verizon LG V20 is rolling out via OTA as we speak, just head to Settings > About device > System updates.

Before updating your device on the latest firmware, it is always good to charge your device above 60% to avoid shut down during the update process. A working internet connection is needed to download the update, being an OTA update you can download and install it via your device without a PC or Laptop.
