Verizon Galaxy J3 SM-J320V Android 7.0 Nougat J320VVRU2BQJ1 update [Tutorial]

Finally after a long wait US carrier Verizon has started seeding Android 7.0 Nougat OS update for Galaxy J3 2016 SM-J320V on it’s network. Stock Nougat OTA for Verizon J3 2016 released as build number J320VVRU2BQJ1, being a major update from Marshmallow to Nougat, the update is packed with loads of new features, improvements and goodies of Android Nougat firmware.

According to the change log released by Verizon, official Nougat J320VVRU2BQJ1 update for Galaxy J3 J320V includes, a new battery management feature which helps maximize your battery’s potential with access to medium power saving mode or Maximum power saving mode. The feature is very use it identifies the inactive apps and puts them to sleep for better battery backup, other Nougat features like, split screen, integrated Doze mode also present in the firmware.

The update is Live via OTA bringing August security patch so if your device is not rooted then you are going to receive the OTA notification any time soon else you can follow the Odin or Kies method below. Enable USB Debugging. Go to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging

Now turn off your device completely.

Reboot your device into Download Mode, to do so follow this guide
