Update G570MUBU1AQA3 Stock Marshmallow on Galaxy J5 Prime G570M via odin
After Galaxy J7 Prime, Galaxy J5 Prime model SM-G570M is receiving the stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based update by Samsung. This update is a security patch for Feb 2017 carries build number G570MUBU1AQA3 and is rolling out for all Galaxy J5 Prime G570M users in India. Although it is not a major update but it got multiple improvements packed inside it, each new update brings something improved inside it so it is always recommended to stay regular in installing new firmware on your device. The update is now rolling out via OTA but if you haven’t received the OTA due to any reason if your device is rooted or the OTA hasn’t landed in your region then you need to follow the Odin method.
We have mentioned the complete process along G570MUBU1AQA3 tar file for your ease, just grab the firmware and flash it manually via Odin. The stock Marshmallow firmware can be updated via Kies as well, but we recommend you try the OTA update first, go to Settings > About device > Check software updates. We have posted the same tutorial for the Galaxy S7 update so the process remains the same because it has nothing to do with the change build number or Android version, all you need is an Odin tool along the firmware tar and a PC with latest Samsung USB drivers installed on it.
