Finally Motorola started seeding Android 8.1 Oreo update to Moto X4 (RETUS) in the US. The Stock Android 8.1 Oreo for Moto X4 is available to download as build OPW28.1 that is now live via OTA as we speak, a user shared the screenshot of the update (see the image above).
Android 8.1 Oreo update the firmware from Android 8.0 Oreo to Android 8.1 Oreo that brings numerous new features including new dynamic dark and light themes, latest Pixel 2 Launcher, Redesigned Power Menu, new Shutdown and Reboot Animation, Round shaped Status bar Icons, and Settings. Just open Settings app on your device
In the Settings menu head to About device section
Then head to system updates and check the OTA updates manually.
