Marshmallow based N920VVRS3BPL4 firmware for Verizon Note 5 N920V is released

Verizon released latest firmware update for it’s Galaxy Note 5. The update is not Nougat but in-fact it’s Marshmallow based normal security update, the firmware carries build number N920VVRS3BPL4 and is available via OTA, you must keep your device tuned to receive the OTA update. Verizon has not listed much details about the firmware but it’s a security update and we recommend you to update your device to any available latest firmware.

Although users are waiting for the Nougat release for their Note 5 and in reality is about to release as popular bench-marking website GFXbench has given us some clues regarding Note 5 running the Android 7.0 Nougat update (Pic attached). However it is clearly seen that Nougat for Note 5 is not far away but it can be released anytime soon. The latest flagships S7 and S7 Edge are already on Nougat beta firmware, where Samsung has promised to release the final update in January.

The security updates are necessary too, the N920VVRS3BPL4 firmware weighs smaller so it seems that apart from security update it has hardly brought fix for the battery drain issue.
