Droid Maxx 2 gets Android 7.0 Nougat [26.26.14.lux_verizon.verizon.en.US]

Verizon and Motorola rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Droid Maxx 2. The Verizon Droid Maxx 2 is now getting official Nougat Android 7.0 OTA from it’s carrier, the update lands as software version 26.26.14.lux_verizon.verizon.en.US and is rolling out via OTA as we speak. Other Motorola devices bonded with Verizon also getting monthly security updates but Droid Maxx 2 gets this major jump from Marshmallow to Nougat along December security patch as well.

Android 7.0 Nougat 26.26.14 for Verizon Droid Maxx 2

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for Droid Maxx 2 bring all the latest features but still retains the stock Android look. If you are still using the 2015 mid ranger Droid Maxx 2 then you are going to receive the OTA knock on your device anytime. The update is available as OTA, but before updating the firmware on your device let us remind you that after updating Nougat firmware on your device you won’t be able to downgrade the firmware.

Once you install the Android 7.0 Nougat firmware on your Droid Maxx 2, you’ll get stock Nougat features like Multi window support that lets you multitask on your Android device using two apps at the same time. Bundled notifications, Updated emoji’s from Unicode 9.0, integrated Doze mode to give you better battery backup, Data Saver and ‘Close all’ feature to close the all the apps on a Single Tap. The update is also carrying December, 2017 security patch along with it.
