[Download] Snapdragon Galaxy S8/S8+ TWRP recovery released

Snapdragon Galaxy S8 and S8 plus unofficial TWRP recovery has been released. As you all know the Samsung devices come as Exynos and Snapdragon variant, we have already posted guide on installing TWRP recovery on Exynos Galaxy S8/S8 Plus along root process back in April, now devs at XDA started work on Snapdragon Galaxy S8/S8+ and released first unofficial TWRP recovery build. If you own a Snapdragon Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus and wish to install TWRP recovery on it then you are at the right place. We have posted step by step process to download and install unofficial TWRP recovery on Snapdragon S8 and S8 Plus.

Before you go ahead lets us tell you that this TWRP recovery for Snapdragon variant mean, it can only be installed on Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 and S8 Plus SM-G9550 (Chinese or Hong Kong variant) because these devices have Snapdragon chips + unlockable bootloader. Since US Galaxy S8/S8 Plus are also equipped with Snapdragon chips but the bootloader unlock process hasn’t been released yet, if this news disappointed you we are sorry else you can follow the instructions below.

How to install TWRP recovery on Snapdragon Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Pre-caution:

Charge your device to a safe level, say it is good to keep it above 70%.

Ensure your device model resembles the one mentioned above.

Custom recovery will replace stock recovery so say bye bye to OTA’s forever.

Process to install TWRP recovery on snapdragon Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Turn off your device completely.
