OnePlus 5T is getting quicker updates from the company, it been one a few weeks since it release, now getting a 2nd update from it’s manufacturer. Although these are not major OS upgrades but still each new update brings a bunch of improvements inside it. Just today, OnePlus 5T is getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.7.4 update from the company.
The update weighs in 286MB where it bring huge improvements in the optics department along bug fixes and piles of optimizations. The security patch is still on the month of October, but this new update hits improvements in other regions in the device including audio optimizations for the speaker and headphones, improved face unlock, Wi-Fi power-saving improvements, improvements in vibration, fingerprint and GPS stability improvements.

The OnePlus 5T OxygenOS 4.7.4 is released via OTA as speak, it will take some time depending on regional delays but you can grab the firmware from the link below and install it manually. Apart from these minor update, Android Oreo major firmware update will be released for OnePlus 5T soon as the company has already started work on the new firmware.

Set up adb-fastboot drivers on PC by following this guide.
Download the OxygenOS 4.7.4 for OnePlus 5T and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.
Now open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.
Issue the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode
adb reboot recovery
Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command to start the adb sideload process.
adb sideload ota.zip
The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type
