It was already known that Korean tech giant Samsung is going to release Android 8.0 Oreo for it’s flagships soon and it seems today is the day. Users in US have started getting Android 8.0 Oreo update on their device right now, the Oreo update for S8 arrives as build G950USQU1ZQJB while for S8 Plus it is released as G955USQU1ZQJJ.

Early preparations:

Your device should be charged 70% at minimum to avoid shutting down during the process.

Enable USB Debugging. Go to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging

Back up your important data.

Download Odin tool 3.12.3 from this link

Download the latest USB drivers for Samsung from this link and then install them on PC.

Process to install Android 8.0 Oreo G955USQU1ZQJJ update on Galaxy S8 Plus
