Android 8.0 Oreo is finally here for Verizon HTC 10

Finally after a long wait, US biggest carrier Verizon started rolling out official Android 8.0 Oreo update for Verizon HTC 10 Units on it’s network. Unlocked HTC 10 owners are already enjoying Oreo goodies since it’s release back in January. Now after 3 months of wait the roll out has begun, in this tutorial we have discussed the complete process to download and install Android 8.0 Oreo 3.18.605.13 RUU on Verizon HTC 10.

The Android 8.0 stock Oreo 3.18.605.13 update for HTC 10 brings multiple new features including Picture-in-picture, Autofill, optimized battery usage, other goodies of Oreo update includes features like Notification Dots, Notification channels, Android Instant Apps and latest security patches to enhance the security of the device.

Before going ahead prepare for the following things:

Install latest HTC USB drivers on PC by following this guide

Charge your device to minimum 70% to avoid shut down during the installation process.

Make sure your device is not rooted with stock recovery installed on it.

Process:

Download Android 8.0 Oreo RUU from the link below.

The firmware is in .exe just connect your device to PC in fastboot mode.

Now run the .exe file on the computer and wait for the process to complete.
