AT&T has started seeding the latest monthly security updates. In this tutorial we’ll show you how to manually update AT&T S6 Edge G925A on stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based January security update via OTA, Kies or Odin. The build number for the update is G925AUCS5DPK5, carries important security improvements and bug fixes. So we recommend you take these update as soon as possible. First give a try to OTA, go to Settings > About device > Software updates.
This guide is also helpful if you are using custom ROM and want to revert back to stock firmware or if you have accidentally brick your device then the only option left to get your device back to life is, flashing stock firmware via Odin. Odin method is also helpful if your device is rooted then no OTA will knock at your device so either you have to un-root it or flash the update via Odin.
Note: We have already posted similar guide along same process for Samsung’s latest flagships because it has nothing to do with the change build number or Android version, all you need is an Odin tool along the firmware tar and a PC with latest Samsung USB drivers installed on it.
