AT&T has raised it’s head again with the official Nougat update for AT&T Galaxy S7 Active G891A. The anticipation about Nougat for AT&T S7 Active become more and more when it received WiFi certification last month and was seen on GFXBench running Android 7.0 Nougat firmware. Just a day ago the news about S7 Active Nougat update emerge on internet and now detailed firmware update including change log has arrived.
The update carries build number NRD90M.G891AUCU2BQB2 and weighs about 1.58GB. Bringing Android 7.0 Nougat to AT&T S& Active the update is wrapped multiple new features inside it, the popular AT&T address book is now removed, Samsung cloud storage that gives the Samsung Galaxy user with a storage of 15GB for free. Improvements in Doze mode, Samsung Pass and more.
The stock Nougat firmware can be updated via Kies as well, but we recommend you try the OTA update first, go to Settings > About device > Check software updates. We have posted the same tutorial for the other variants of Galaxy S7 firmware so the process remains the same because it has nothing to do with the change build number or Android version, all you need is an Odin tool along the firmware tar and a PC with latest Samsung USB drivers installed on it.
