Galaxy S8 gets Android 8.0 Oreo beta 2 G955USQU1ZQK6 firmware in US

After UK, Galaxy S8 users in US are now getting another iteration of Oreo beta update on their devices. This time the update arriving as build G955USQU1ZQK6, which brings more improvements over the last update. Some of the main improvements embedded in the update are October security patch with improves stability of the DeX mode and the Launcher.

If you are already on beta 1 then QK1 firmware then you are eligible for the Beta 2 update. The latest beta update brings improvements over the first one along multiple new features and stability improvements including October security patch and improves the stability of DeX mode along launcher improvements as well.

Other improvements include multiple new clock styles for the lock screen and Always On Display. Now you can adjust the transparency of notifications. Smart View gets smarter by allowing the handset’s screen to go dark when it’s mirroring between the phone and TV.

Early preparations:

Your device should be charged 70% at minimum to avoid shutting down during the process.
