Before you begin:
Make sure your device is charged well, better if above 70%.
Now go to Settings > About device and make sure your device is running on the official firmware ending with PH1.
Now reboot into Download Mode by following this guide, and make sure if the Odin mode says System status as ‘Official’.
If the System status is ‘Custom’ then you need to download the PH1 firmware from this link and then follow this is guide to flash it on your Verizon S7.
Once done with the above step, go to Settings > Developer options > Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking options.
Now it’s essential to decrypt your SD card. Again go to settings > Lock Screen & Security > Encrypt sd card > DECRYPT.

- If your device firmware version ends with PH1 then download the S7Nupdate.zip and rename it to update.zip.
- If it ends with PI3 then download the PI3_to_PK4update.zip and rename it to update.zip.
- If it is PK4 then download the s7Nupdate2.zip and rename it to update.zip.

Now connect your device to PC and access the internal storage of your device.
Create a new folder named as ‘fota’ in the main directory.
Copy the above downloaded update.zip file into the same folder (fota).
Turn off your phone now and reboot it to recovery mode by following this guide.
Once in the stock recovery menu, navigate between the options by using volume keys.
Choose the option ‘apply update.zip from sd card’, choose the update.zip file your copied earlier in the fota folder.
Press the power button on the ‘Yes’ option to start the installation process.
Once completed reboot your device.
