Android 7.0 Nougat G935FXXU1DPLT rolls out to Galaxy S7 Edge G935F

Samsung has made a surprising release of Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S7 Edge model SM-G935F. Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung’s flagships is the most anticipated release, as per leak that emerge out yesterday, the Nougat update for S7 variants were expected to be released on January 17th.

But Samsung has released it a week earlier and it’s finally here, the Nougat firmware for Galaxy S7 Edge carries build number G935FXXU1DPLT and according to SAMMobile the Nougat update is also released for S7 G930F too then the build number for Galaxy S7 G930F assumed to be G930FXXU1DPLT.

Well if you have joined the Galaxy Beta Program earlier and tasted all the iteration of Nougat beta on your Galaxy S7 variants then you are eligible for the G935FXXU1DPLT update. This is Android 7.0 Nougat update but not the Android 7.1.1 as expected, although it is carrying latest security patch for the month of January.

The update weighs around 215MB, brought multiple improvements in over all firmware, you can see the details in the change log section below. The firmware is rolling out via OTA and give a try to Kies as well, if you are getting impatient to see the latest Nougat update on your device, head towards, Settings menu >> About Phone section >> Software updates. Manually check for the OTA firmware if available, else try the Kies method.
