Verizon seeded September security patch to Google Pixel and Pixel XL devices on it’s network
It’s almost mid September and US biggest carrier Verizon has started seeding September security patch to Google Pixel and Pixel XL devices on it’s network. The update arrives as build OPR3.170623.007, which brings latest security patch for the month of September along under the hood improvements and bug fixes to enhance device stability. Carrier bonded devices are often notorious for slow upgrades but Pixel devices belong to search giant it self so carriers based Pixel phones do not take much delay for releasing new updates.

The September security patch OPR3.170623.007 update for Verizon Pixel/Pixel XL is based on Android 8.0 Oreo which is rolling out via OTA so you may get the update soon. You can manually keep track of the OTA by heading to Settings > About phone > System updates, if the update is available it will notify you.
