OxygenOS Open Beta 9 released for OnePlus 3 [Android 7.0 Nougat]

Team OnePlus seems much concerned for it’s devices regarding Nougat firmware release. Last month we have seen OnePlus started the Nougat Beta release with the first Android 7.0 Nougat based Oxygen OS beta 8 update tasted by it’s OnePlus 3. Now it pushed an upgrade to existing OS and named it OxygenOS Open Beta 9, if you are already on Beta 8 then it’s now big deal just grab the firmware and flash it by giving some adb commands (process mentioned below).

The OxygenOS Open Beta 9 for OnePlus 3 is not just an upgrade but it has brought multiple improved features by considering their valuable user’s opinion and suggestions. The OxygenOS Open Beta 9 is carrying features like optimization for Shelf design, battery consumption related improvements, enhanced stability in overall firmware, general UI fixes and much more.

If you are already on beta 8 then you know it very well, how to do it but if you are new to the process then installation process need your attention. The process includes;

A OnePlus 3 with TWRP installed on it

Battery charged to safe level (better if above 70%),

USB drivers properly installed or click here to download them

Knowledge of ADB and fastboot commands

Process to install Nougat based OxygenOS beta 9 on OnePlus 3

Download the firmware file. Download here

Boot your device into TWRP recovery menu

Once in there choose ‘Advanced’ and then adb sideload

Connect your device to PC and open command window in the same folder where you have put the firmware file

Type “adb sideload ota_file_name.zip” without quotation marks.

Wait for the process to complete.
