Nokia 6 gets July security patch in Taiwan and HongKong
HMD Global has kept it’s promise regarding firmware updates and now it is proved very efficient in delivering the security updates to it’s Nokia devices. Now Nokia 6 is getting July security patch in Taiwan and Hong Kong when no other OEM including Google pixel devices haven’t received the July patch yet. The July security patch update for Nokia 6 TA-1003 is live via OTA that weighs around 139MB, you can see the screenshot above.

As of now Nokia 6 units are available in China, Hong Kong and Taiwanese market, HMD Global also released the first major update that brought Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Nokia 6 in the Chinese market with April patch and May patch for Hong Kong and Taiwan. According to HMD Global the Nokia devices will continue to receive the firmware update support for the next 2 years that include the Android O upgrade as well.
The July security update is currently available for the Nokia 6 users in Hong Kong and Taiwan but the update carrying both June and July patch will soon released for Chinese market. If you own a Nokia 6 then head to Settings > About Phone > System updates, charge your device well to avoid shut down during the process.
