Nokia 5 is receiving second Oreo beta as v5.160

HMD Global started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo 2nd beta build for Nokia 5 via its beta labs program. The Android 8.0 Oreo 2nd beta update for Nokia 5 arrives as build V5.160 and costs in 1694MB. This new update fixes some issues that were noticed in the first beta, we don’t have much information regarding changes inlcuded in the second beta but reports say the V5.160 beta fixed multitasking-related bug. These Oreo beta build will be rolling out to Nokia 5 until stable build will be released which is expected to happen somewhere between next month.

If you have already register for the program then you might be receiving the Oreo beta V5.160 for Nokia 5 anytime now. The Oreo beta v5.160 update for Nokia 5 brings all the stock features from Android 8.0 Oreo including faster app installation time, Picture-in-Picture, auto fill texts, notification dots, new emojis, latest security patches for the month of December and more.

The other products including Nokia 3 will be eligible for beta labs program soon. Then you need to validate your device’s IMEI number along carrier.

Note: Once you get registered with the Beta program but later you decided not to take Oreo beta until it gets stable you can simply de-register yourself from the program to stay on the Nougat firmware.
