HMD Global has kept it’s promise regarding firmware updates and now it is proved very efficient in delivering the security updates to it’s Nokia devices. Nokia 6 after getting July security patch in Taiwan and Hong Kong, HMD Global has started rolling out June security patch for Nokia 5 too. The June security patch update for Nokia 5 is live via OTA that weighs around 283.3MB that means you can expect other tweaks and system enhancements in the update.

According to HMD Global the Nokia devices will continue to receive the firmware update support for the next 2 years that include the Android O upgrade as well. The July security update is currently available for the Nokia 5. If you own a Nokia 5 then head to Settings > About Phone > System updates, charge your device well to avoid shut down during the process.
