MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI released for Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has started rolling out it’s latest MIUI version, MIUI 9.1.1.0 for Mi 5 and Mi 5s plus. Both devices are getting the update right away but other device will receive the update later. The update arrives as software version MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI for Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus and weighs around 1.3GB which is almost double the size of Mi 5’s update. The MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI update brings hand full of new features in System, User-Interface and optimized applications. Some of the new features mentioned in the official change log are, Dual apps support, application search and the battery saver now gets a switch for better control when the device is charged.

Other new features added in the update are, new display format, redesigned homepage, devices with rare Bluetooth profiles are hidden in the list, cleaner design of virus scan page, better folder cleaner, optimized system decryption speed, camera improvements, theme support and addresses the language support issues. The MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI update for Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus also brings animated icons and latest security patch for the month of October 2017.

How to install MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI on Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus

The MIUI V9.1.1.0.NBGMIEI for Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is based on Android 7.0 Nougat build NRD90M, the update weighs in around 1.3GB so you need to set up a working WiFi connection to download the update.

The OTA is now released, but if you are getting impatient to update your device on the latest firmware, call in the OTA manually.

Go to Setting > About device > System updates.
