HTC’s flagship HTC U11+ is announced with smaller bezels and bigger display

HTC announced two new siblings of earlier released HTC U11, both devices are named as HTC U11+ and HTC U11 Life. As the name shows the HTC U11+ is simply an upgrade to HTC U11 in all aspects regarding bigger display, huge battery and modern design. While on the other side HTC U11 is a mid range device which will be available as both Sense and Android One variants. Below we have mentioned the detailed specifications of HTC U11+, you can have an overview of them.

Specifications of HTC U11+

HTC U11 Plus gains upgraded hardware with the 18:9 aspect ratio device mostly being used for the modern flagships. This is the first time HTC also joined the reduced bezel trend on it’s smartphone, we cannot say it’s completely bezel less device but still it is good to see that HTC is going in the right direction. Moreover HTC’s previous phones were getting negative rating for the battery timing, this time the engineers at HTC have managed to cram in a 3,930mAh battery, which promises greater longevity than any of its competitors.

HTC U11+ sports a 6″-inch giant Quad HD+ Super LCD 6 with the resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels at 538ppi. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with 78.0% screen-to-body ratio, equipped with smaller bezels. In the Optics department,HTC U11 is equipped with a 12 MegaPixel f/1.7 aperture, phase detection auto-focus, OIS, dual tone LED Flash. The camera is capable of recording videos in 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps. On the front an 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture capable of recording full HD video.

The HTC U11 is equipped with the pretty powerful hardware which includes, Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with an Andreno 540 Graphic Processing Unit. HTC U11+ will be available in 4GB/64GB globally while in Europe it will be released as 6GB/128GB variant. The HTC U11+ will be one of the first phones to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, which will have HTC’s light Sense UI theme along new functionality added as well. The HTC U11+ is IP68 rated for waterproofing but this feature also took back the 3.5mm headphone jack. USB Type C earbuds are supported, the device will be available from November 20th.
