What is Magisk and how it works?
Magisk is one of the most popular method to root any Android device. The Magisk comes with the Universal Systemless Interface that modifies the files embedded in System’s data and cache and adds some files that are required for rooting.
How to root Exynos Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Before you begin:
Download and update Samsung USB drivers on PC. Download Samsung USB drivers
TWRP recovery must be installed on your device, if you haven’t. Follow this guide to install it.
Download dm-varity file. Here
Download Magisk. Here
Process to root Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
- Connect your device to PC and move the downloaded Magisk and dm-verity file on your device storage.
- Now turn off your device and boot it into recovery mode, follow this guide to see how to boot S8 into recovery mode.
- Once in recovery mode, choose “Install” and then select the “dm-verity” file followed by swipe to the left.
- Now reboot your device.
- Once the reboot process is completed, again boot it into recovery mode and this time flash the Magisk file the same way you did with the earlier file.
