Finally a great news for the owners of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Android 8.0 Oreo seems to be just around the corner. The recent Wi-Fi Alliance certification shows both devices running Oreo firmware. Major US carrier including Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and even Unlocked variants seem running Oreo update. Gone are the days when carriers bonded devices were known for releasing the updates i bit later then unlocked devices, this time the story is pretty changed, major carriers are proven good for delivering the updates on time.

The Android 8.0 Oreo will brings faster boot speed, revamped Settings menu and Quick-Settings UI, Picture in Picture (PIP), Adaptive icons, Autofill, Notification timeout, other improvements including latest security patches as well. Galaxy S8 is the best place to see the Oreo features you expect in the Galaxy S7 Oreo update. Unfortunately there is no exact time frame given for the Oreo release but you can expect it within ongoing month. The Samsung Turkey has given a ETA as April 13th but that date has now passed so it will be rolling out anytime soon.
