Enable USB Debugging. Go to Settings > Developer options > USB Debugging
Downloads section:
Download and install the latest USB drivers for Samsung on PC. Click here
Download latest Odin 3.12.3. Click here
Download and extract CF-Auto-root for Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C: Click here
Process to root Nougat on Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C via Odin
Turn off your phone completely.
Now reboot your device into Download Mode, to do so follow this guide.
Once in download Mode, follow this guide to flash the CF-Auto-root package via Odin.
