February 2018 OTA/Factory Images released for Nexus And Pixel Phones [Download]

February 2018 security patch OTA and Factory images are now available for all Nexus and Pixel phones. Google has posted the security bulletin for February 2018 you can overview of it as well. As you know February security patch updates are already out for several devices now Google has released the February patch for it’s awaited Nexus and Pixel phones, the list includes Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel C, Google Pixel 2016, Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL 2017 and Pixel XL.

The February 2018 security patch OTA and Factory images are available as OPM1.171019.016 for Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Pixel 2 gets the update via build OPM1.171019.019 while build OPM1.171019.018 released for Pixel 2 XL, build OPM1.171019.016 for Pixel C. Nexus 6P gets the updates as build OPM3.171019.014/OPM5.171019.015 and Nexus 5X gets OPM3.171019.014/OPM5.171019.015.

Download and install February security patch on Nexus and Pixel phones

Before you begin:

Your device must be charges at least 70% to avoid shut down during the process.

Latest USB drivers must be installed on PC. You can download them right away.

Set up ADB drivers on PC. Follow this guide

Process to install February security patch OTA on Pixel and Nexus phones

Download the OTA zip for your Google phone from this link and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.

Open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.

Now connect your device to PC.

Type the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode

adb reboot recovery

Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command to start the adb sideload process.

adb sideload filename.zip

The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type

fastboot reboot

That’s it!
