Download PPW29.69-26 Pie soak test for Moto X4

Finally users in Brazil and a few more countries are finally seeing long awaited Android 9.0 Pie update for Moto X4. The update is rolling out as build PPW29.69-26, if you have already joined the Motorola feedback program then you will be getting the OTA anytime soon. The Pie soak test also comes with latest security patch for the month of November 2018 along goodies of Android Pie OS for Moto X4. The PPW29.69-26 OTA brings redesigned icons and Motorola launcher as well. Some of the features you will be able to see on your Moto X4 includes Adaptive Battery feature, App Actions, Adaptive Brightness, new features in Do Not Disturb mode, gesture-based navigation and much more.

Before you begin:

Your device should be charged minimum 60% to avoid shut down during the process.

Latest USB drivers for Motorola should be installed on PC. Here

Set up adb and fastboot drivers. Follow this quick guide

Process to install Android 9 Pie PPW29.69-26 soak trest on Moto X4

Download the Android Pie OTA for Moto X4 and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.

Open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.

Now connect your device to PC.

Type the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode

adb reboot recovery

Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command to start the adb sideload process.

adb sideload filename.zip

The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type

fastboot reboot

That’s it! You have now latest Android Pie installed on your Moto X4.
