Download OPS28.49-2 Oreo soak test OTA for Moto G5S
Finally users in Brazil and a few more countries are finally seeing long awaited Android 8.1 Oreo update for Moto G5S. The update is rolling out as build OPS28.49-2, if you have already joined the Motorola feedback program then you will be getting the OTA anytime soon. The Oreo soak test also comes with latest security patch for the ongoing month of June 2018 along goodies of Android Oreo OS for Moto G5S. The OPS28.49-2 OTA brings redesigned icons and Motorola launcher as well. Some of the features you will be able to see on your Moto G5S are Redesigned UI, Autofill, Picture In Picture mode, improved Battery Life and more.

Before you begin:
Your device should be charged minimum 60% to avoid shut down during the process.

Set up adb and fastboot drivers. Follow this quick guide
Process to install Android 8.1 Oreo OPS28.49-2 soak trest on Moto G5S

Download the Android 8.1 Oreo OTA for Moto G5S and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.
Open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.
Now connect your device to PC.
Type the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode
adb reboot recovery
Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command to start the adb sideload process.
adb sideload filename.zip
The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type
fastboot reboot
That’s it! You have now latest Android 8.1 Oreo installed on your Moto G5S.
