Essential Phone was released to compete with the high end smartphone while carrying budget price tag, but specs are not everything. The camera performance on the Essential Phone was not too impressive, since it release Essential Phone has been continuously getting camera improvement updates from the company. After getting most awaited AutoHDR mode in the last update now Essential Team has updated it camera app to version 0.1.097.006. The new Essential Camera v0.1.097.006 update brings a couple of major changes, including new Tiny Planet mode and selfie flash.

The Tiny Planet mode is currently in beta stage but this feature lets you view all your 360 degree photos and videos as Tiny Planets with just a tap. You can see the example of it in the image below.

The new update also adds a share option so you can share the 360 degree photos and videos right from the device camera app, you can also capture still images from your Tiny Planet videos. Another useful feature is the front selfie flash, it illuminates the screen when capturing an image with the front camera in low light.

Essential Team is working hard to improve the camera quality on the device, each new update adds some useful features in the camera app. The update is live in the Play Store for everyone if you own an Essential Phone then head to Google Play store link below and get the update right away.
