December security patch build NMJ51B rolls out for Essential Phone

Essential phone is getting a new firmware update from it’s manufacturer, the firmware on Essential phone had some issue at launch so the Essential team quickly responded and released multiple fixes and improvements in the firmware. Today, support Team at Essential is seeding December security update, the update arrives as build NMJ51B which deals the with trouble maker vulnerability named KRACK along a bunch of other improvements as well.

The December patch NMJ20 update for Essential phone is released almost head to head with the latest Google’s devices. The NMJ20 update doesn’t brings anything major a few security improvements and bug fixes but it is recommend to keep your phone updated regarding firmware updates.

Just follow these simple steps to catch the OTA manually and install on your device.

Unlock your device.
Open the settings app from the app drawer
Now head to about phone section and then system updates.
Give a check to system updates, please make sure your device is connected to a working internet connection.
