Android Oreo based OxygenOS Open Beta 26/17 for OnePlus 3/3T [Download]

Finally OnePlus started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo based latest OxygenOS open beta 26 for OnePlus 3 and OxygenOS open beta 17 for OnePlus 3T. This is great to see the Oreo beta update released for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T even before OnePlus 5 gets it.

The Android Oreo update is rolling out via OTA as build OP3_O2_Open_26 for OnePlus 3 and OP3_O2_Open_17 for OnePlus 3T. You can get the Oreo update via OTA but ensure you are already running open beta 24 on oneplus 3 and beta 15 on oneplus 3t.

The update brings multiple new features along goodies on Android Oreo update for OnePlus 3/3T. The update weighs around 1.4GB, head to Settings > About device > System updates. If you think your device is rooted then you need to follow the manual installation process below.

Process to install OxygenOS beta 26 on OnePlus 3 and beta 17 on Oneplus 3T

Download the OxygenOS open beta 26/17 for Oneplus 3/3T and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.

Now open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.

Issue the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode

adb reboot recovery

Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command (from the same folder where you placed the firmware file) to start the adb sideload process.

adb sideload filename.zip

The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type

fastboot reboot

That’s it! You have the latest OxygenOS beta update on your device.
