Verizon J7 V/Prepaid updated to December security patch

Samsung’s Mid range smartphones Galaxy J7 V and J7 Prepaid on Verizon network have got updated to December security patch in the US. Along side Verizon J3, two more devices including Verizon Galaxy J7 V and J7 Prepaid are getting the December security patch in form of an OTA update. The December patch for Verizon J7 is landing as build J727VVRU1AQK4 for Verizon Galaxy J7 V and build J727VPPVRU1AQK4 for J7 Prepaid.

The update once installed on the device brings security patch for the month of December along fixes for KRACK WiFi Exploit and also tweaks the system for minor improvements. Although the updates look minor but are very important to install, because these updates provide shield protection against Virus and other dangerous vulnerabilities.

We have posted two possible way including to get the December OTA directly on your device, one is simple manual search for the OTA and the other is to update via Kies application.

The OTA has landed as we speak, you can head to Settings > About device > System updates and check for the new updates if available. (Remember to update via this way, your device must not be rooted)
