OnePlus is soon going to unveil it’s latest flagship device OnePlus 5, you might be wondering OnePlus 5? What about OnePlus 4? Yes, OnePlus is directly going to launch OnePlus 5, the number 4 is not considered to be the lucky number in Chinese culture so the company decided to skip the OnePlus 4 and directly moved to OnePlus 5. OnePlus 5 is going to be released in the second half of 2017.
OnePlus 5 will be the first device equipped with 8GB of RAM on board just like we have see the OnePlus 3 as the only device supported by 6GB of RAM. The 8GB of RAM is also accompanied with the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset, making this device a true flagship killer and a beast device ever released. It seems that OnePlus 5 will go head to head with the Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S8.
OnePlus 5 will feature thin bezels with sleek design thus following the bezel less trend of the ongoing year’s flagships. In optics, it was earlier rumored that OnePlus 5 will be equipped with a 23MP rear and 16MP selfie shooter on the front. Some sources also suggest that the dual camera setup is also possible on the back of OnePlus 5. The device will be equipped with a dual curved edge display on both side.
There will be a 6GB RAM variant as well that supports, 64/128GB internal storage with micro SD card slot. The powerful hardware needs more battery juice, thus OnePlus 5 will be powered by a 4000mAh battery and running Android 7.0 Nougat via OxygenOS out of the box. OnePlus 5 will carry a price tag under $500.
