Official Oreo update for HTC U11 rolling out in Europe, Middle East and Africa

Less than a week ago, HTC apologizes for the Android 8.0 Oreo roll out delay in Europe. Now it’s finally here, Android 8.0 Oreo update for HTC U11 started rolling out in Europe, Middle East and Africa region, also known as EMEA. The update arrives as version 2.33.401.10 and bring a major update weighs in around 1.31GB so you need to have a working internet connection to download the stock Oreo OTA update.

The Android 8.0 stock Oreo 2.33.401.10 update for HTC U11 brings multiple new features including Picture-in-picture, Autofill, optimized battery usage, other goodies of Oreo update includes features like Notification Dots, Notification channels, Android Instant Apps and latest security patches to enhance the security of the device.

Install latest HTC USB drivers on PC by following this guide

Charge your device to minimum 70% to avoid shut down during the installation process.

Make sure your device is not rooted with stock recovery installed on it.

The Android 8.0 Oreo firmware for HTC U11 is only available via OTA as the moment. If you haven’t received the OTA update yet, call it in by going to Settings > About device > System updates. Or download the firmware RUU from the link below until it becomes available and install it manually on your device.
