Official Nougat NPN25.137-24-1 OTA for Moto Z Play is now available

Motorola is seeding official Android 7.0 Nougat firmware for Moto Z Play users in Canada. The update carries build number NPN25.137-24-1 and live for the users linked with carriers including ‘Telus’ and ‘Rogers’ along others. The update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, landed via OTA and it will reach your device anytime soon. The Nougat update is packed with tons of new features along latest security patches.

Some of the main Nougat features are Multi-Window support, new layout with more customized stuff, bundles notification and much more. If you are already on stock Android Marshmallow firmware then you are good to go along with the guide. First give a try for the OTA, go to Settings >> About device >> Firmware Updates.

Process to install Android 7.0 Nougat NPN25.137-24-1 firmware on Moto Z Play via stock recovery

Step 1: Connect your device with PC and move the firmware file on your device
Step 2: Reboot into recovery mode and select apply update from SD card.
Step 3: Choose the firmware file and Select yes.
Step 4: The process is now started and wait for it to complete.
