Official Android 7.1.1 Nougat rolls out for Moto X Play/Droid Maxx 2

Motorola finally released the most anticipated Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware update for Moto X Play and Droid Maxx 2 for Verizon. On the official Motorola Site, you can see the detail change log about the firmware. The device was expected to get Android 7.0 Nougat update but Motorola directly supplied the latest version of Android, i,e, Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Moto X Play.

The Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Moto X Play bring all the latest features but still retains the stock Android look. If you are still using the 2015 mid ranger Moto X Play then you are going to receive the OTA knock on your device anytime. The update is available as OTA, but before updating the firmware on your device let us reming you that after updating Nougat firmware on your device you won’t be able to downgrade the firmware.

Once you install the Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware on your Moto X Play, you’ll get stock Nougat features like Multi window support that lets you multitask on your Android device using two apps at the same time. Updated emoji’s from Unicode 9.0, integrated Doze mode to give you better battery backup, Data Saver and ‘Close all’ feature to close the all the apps on a Single Tap. The update is also carrying May, 2017 security patch along with it.
