Moto Z Play Android 7.1.1 Nougat NPN26.118-22 update released

Finally Motorola is on the roll with the stable Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware for Moto Z and Moto Z Play in Brazil. The device has passed two soak test updates and here is the stable update, the Moto Z Play users in Brazil are now getting the Android 7.1.1 Nougat via OTA. The update arrives as build NPN26.118-22, that install latest security patch and goodies of Android 7.1.1 stable Nougat update.

The official Nougat Android 7.1.1 NPN26.118-22 update for Moto Z Play also brings in multiple new features and some improvements in over all firmware. You can also update your device on latest firmware by installing previous soak test on your device, once updated to previous firmware then you can easily get the new update via OTA.

Process to install NPN26.118-22 Android 7.1.1 Nougat on Moto Z Play

Download NPN26.118-22 Nougat Android 7.1.1 for Moto Z Play. Here [Coming soon]

Download the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA for Moto Z Play and transfer the downloaded zip file in a specific folder.

Open the same folder press Shift+Right Click on any empty area in the folder then choose ‘Open command window here’.

Now connect your device to PC.

Type the following command to reboot your device into recovery mode

adb reboot recovery

Once in recovery mode, select ‘Install from USB’ and then type the following command to start the adb sideload process.

adb sideload filename.zip

The installation process will start and wait for it to complete. Once the process is completed simply type

fastboot reboot

That’s it! You have now latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat NPN26.118-22 build installed on your Moto Z Play.
