Samsung has rolled out January security update for Galaxy J5 2016 model SM-J510FN. The update was expected to be the February security patch because the Latin American variant of Galaxy J5 2016 has received February security patch. Well security updates are important for any device, the January security update for Galaxy J5 J510FN is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and carries build number J510FNXXU2AQA7. The update is live via OTA so if your device is not rooted then you are going to receive the OTA notification any time soon else you can follow the Odin or Kies method below.
