HTC 10 units in US are getting an OTA with June security patch

HTC has started rolling out a new firmware update for Unlocked HTC 10 units in USA. The latest OTA update for HTC 10 arrives as firmware version 2.50.617.2 and weighs around 277.74 MB. This OTA is meant to fix security by installing June security patch along some under the hood improvements and system enhancements.

Users in Europe are mostly heard complaining about not getting the security updates on time so US is the only region where updates strike on time. If you live in US and wish to download and install the HTC 10 June security patch 2.50.617.2 build on it then directly head to Settings > About device > System updates.

The HTC 10 June patch weighs a little heavier then usual security patch that means it has brought some extra features and improvements. You need to keep your device charged at 60% before installing the update.
